Mussels were plenty and tasty

We have been guests in this house for many years. Gabi and Edmund create a family atmosphere which we like very much. The staff is competent and very friendly. The food offers a bit of everything, is very tasty and extra requests are gladly fulfilled. We hope that we can be guests there for a long time to come. !!!

Good quality of food and mostly friendly service - aaaber ... Four of our group of six people had little appetite and therefore chose a soup as a main course (three times baked onion soup, once beef soup). The waitress explained "kindly", she would then double the portion (and calculate !!), because the soups were already very small, as they were intended as an appetizer. The soups came in and they were small soup terrines instead of the soup cups that would normally be used. These small terrines are, however, in my opinion (even gastronomy experience in similar houses like the Gisinger Pilsstube) also normally used for the onion soup. For a good ending, we paid for a "double" portion of beef or onion soup each 12 euros (2x6) and more than for various main courses (seniors dish Wiener Schnitzel was around ten euros). Although it is still possible that we paid a double portion of onion soup and only a normal got (for the beef soup I assume that the small terrine was used instead of the soup cup). Conclusion: 12 euros for a terrine soup as a main course is covered in portion size and borders on rip-off. Aside from that, we were asked to pay and leave just before 2:30 pm to be closed. Mind you at opening hours until 15 o'clock ... It's a pity that a basically good restaurant disqualifies itself with such actions.
